I originally had a wedding planned in June of 2020 but had to reschedule due to the pandemic. DJ party pros were AMAZING! They accounted a date change, an indoor to outdoor venue change, among several other obstacles due to the pandemic. Matt was very awesome at communicating with us and making sure things went perfect. Samantha was always so timely to respond to our emails and questions, and they were also so understanding when we needed to postpone our wedding multiple times due to COVID before having our big day on September 5, 2021. Matt scheduled a call with us the week of the wedding, and was so organized, professional and easy-going to work with, even with some of our crazy requests to feature music from Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones at our wedding. At the wedding, Matt made sure everything with our music and timeline went off without a hitch, and even stepped in to help our coordinator with our surprise Grand Entrance and treat for our guests. Not only was Samantha super responsive and great to work with, but her and her team were able to combine two of our songs for our first dance into an incredible memory. We’re so happy we went with Party Pros Detroit. Katy photographed our special day and Matt DJed our reception. We consider both of them friends now. We used Party Pros Detroit for our wedding as our DJ and Videographer. Samantha and James who run the company were on time for our meeting and answered all of my questions. Samantha is VERY prompt at responding to emails which made asking questions a breeze. Their online planning website is super convenient and allows you to make play lists for your event including a do not play list. It was super easy to use and even helped with making a timeline for our wedding. It was reassuring to know that once we put in all the songs and information for our wedding it would be right there for our DJ. Matt, our DJ called us the week of our wedding to go over the details and ensure all our questions were answered. He was very nice, friendly, and easy to work with. He ensured the dance floor always had people on it which is exactly what we wanted. He made all the appropriate announcements, kept the crowd involved, while at the same time not being over zealous. We also got a personalized monogram with Party Pros. They had multiple designs to choose from and set it up in a perfect location. Our Videographer was Michael. He also called us the week of our wedding to go over the details and location. He was super friendly and great to work with. The camera he used was small and not huge with a big bright light like at some weddings I’ve been to. He worked with our photographer and I barely noticed he was there. When we woke up the morning after our wedding we already received a short preview video which was a complete surprise! We cannot wait to see the finished product! I had a great experience with Party Pros Detroit and would highly recommend them!

It can always be boggling trying to coordinate a wedding. But working with this company made it so easy. I am so glad we went with Party Pros for our wedding DJ! We really just wanted our wedding to be one big party and we knew that meant our music selection was going to be very important. The online planning tool was really helpful – we were able to put in all our requests ahead of time which allowed our DJ, William, to get a sense of what we liked. Party Pros were AMAZING from start to finish. I felt I was in such good hands during all of the prep, and they did NOT disappoint on the day. I planned my Michigan wedding from California, and even with the difference in time zone, she would always respond very quickly to my emails, day or night! The software was absolutely amazing, I was able to ensure that all the songs that I REALLY wanted to hear were played, and if they did not have the songs, they would download them for me. Matt was an incredible DJ! He really understood our musical tastes, and would run questionable things by me if given the chance, such as”how do you feel about (insert song or band here) before playing anything that might have been a “you either love ’em or ya hate ’em” kind of thing. Matt was great at mixing songs and kept a subtle but always positive presence, which I absolutely appreciated! There is nothing worse than a loud-cornball DJ (IMO) and Matt was far from that. I would HIGHLY recommend this company, and Matt specifically, for any wedding or event, especially one with a fun yet classy vibe. So happy I came across Party Pros on the Knot!
Everything from start to finish was AMAZING! As long as you provide the proper info on the fill in the blank form/worksheet they provide online, your event will be as FLAWLESS as ours was!
First, I am going to talk about our photographer David. When we met with him he told us he would run his butt off to get the best shots. That was an understatement! The guy was like a cheetah running from place to place. He was a blur! Half the time I had no idea where he was during the ceremony until I caught him moving. Then after the ceremony, he gave great directions and worked with a joyful attitude and presence. We had an outdoor wedding. At one point he did not hesitate to dive into a field of tall grasses and brush to get some shots of us on the edge of the brush and grasses. He climbed on objects, twisted and crammed himself into positions for different angles. The guy was AWESOME! He even fired off a few jokes and comments to keep us smiling and catch some natural smiles and laughing shots. His demeanor and attitude really made my wife and I comfortable. He was excellent to work with!
Second, our DJ Eric. He was EXCELLENT! I am in contact with many DJ’s, Eric is easily at the top of the list. He was great when contacting us before our event to cover bases and make sure everything was perfect and understood. Our dance floor was packed the entire night! I don’t dance… But I was out there a few times that night! Eric had total control of the event and ran it to perfection! He nailed every aspect of our event from name pronunciation to suggestions regarding what would work best with our guests and wedding party. The mix of music he played kept all ages on the floor all night! I really can’t remember seeing a small group on the floor. He even put together a small sound board for a special request by me for the garter removal portion of the event, his sound board added a great feel to what I was doing and had our guests nearly in tears with laughter! BEST. DJ. EVER!
Last but not least, the owners. They were very easy to contact. They answered all of our questions quickly no matter how silly they may have been. They also gave us many great tips and suggestions. They also knew a ton of people for referrals for other aspects of our wedding planning! Everything they had their hands in with our wedding was FLAWLESS!
AMAZING!! My experience with the DJ company from the beginning was 5 stars. The communication was always prompt and through our initial phone call I was able to learn so much about the company. It is affordable and completely worth it. Our DJ, Bill, was just great. He and I had a phone call a few nights before the wedding and I ran through everything with him. We did not use the music list software, we just let them know artists and genres that we like. He mixed the music so well, and interacted with the crowd at just the right amount. He had the guests and bridal party out dancing the whole night. He arrived early to make sure he was set and to connect with the venue and other vendors that I had hired. I had also provided him with a list of Arabic artists and songs and he seamlessly integrated them and was prepared to take requests from family and friends. Just such an amazing experience overall, he truly made the night great.
LOVED this DJ! I’ve had so many people post-wedding tell me how they have never had more fun at a wedding than they did at ours. Bill and Samantha were both FANTASTIC!
Samantha was incredibly friendly, accommodating, and she quickly answered all of our questions. Our DJ choice was extremely important as the DJ can make or break a wedding. We were able to reach out to Bill prior to choosing the company and ask him a bunch of questions about how he handles weddings. This really put my husband at ease with the decision to move forward with Party Pros. We requested Bill for our wedding and fortunately were lucky enough to have him!
On the big day, Bill was PERFECT! Our music was a great mix of songs we had requested and ones he thought would keep the party going. We really wanted to let him use his skill/talent to choose music that would get people dancing. We selected a few songs that we really wanted to hear – we aren’t DJs so we left it up to the expert.
We had a few songs selected for special people at the wedding that were played close to each other at the beginning of the dancing (no biggie!) The individuals loved their selected songs and Bill was willing to replay one that my husband and I had missed. He was also easy to work with – I last minute had to ask him to stop playing a song as I didn’t realize it was mixed with Hollaback Girl and my mom can’t hear the word “bananas”… It’s weird. But Bill was totally cool and rolled with it!

Party Pros Detroit are the best!! We contacted them for their DJ and Photography services for our wedding. From the first phone call to after the wedding everything was so smooth. The Pros are exactly that, they know what is needed to be done so that everyone at your Party has a fantastic time. John was our Photographer, and he was amazing! I especially want to give thanks to our DJ Bobby Starbuck, who was just awesome to work with. Bobby spent over an hour on the phone going over the details for our wedding reception. He handled multiple requests for special things that we wanted to do during the wedding reception. At the wedding reception, his song choices were some of the best I’ve ever seen at a wedding. He really had the timing of when to play a song, and in which order. The dance floor was packed almost the whole night, and people were loving it. He was exceptional too, for all of the ceremonial announcements.

My wedding was awesome! Let me just say that Party Pros rocked my wedding!!!!!!!!!!!!! We used them for our Photo Booth and DJ. I was SO impressed with both! Using their online worksheets was SO easy! We could go online, and fill out everything we wanted for our wedding. I forgot my password all the time, so each time I chatted or emailed I revived my answer so quick it was like Samantha was reading my mind! They are SO quick to respond to your questions. It was amazing, especially as I started to get the typical bride crazy brain leading up to my date. There was a time where I really wanted to have a face-to-face with them, because I was getting nervous about everything being online. OMG how easy it was to set up an appointment and meet with Samantha. She settled my nerves and made me feel SO comfortable. I must admit, after our meeting I was a new Bride! I was so nervous about so much leading up to my wedding, she was able to calm my nerves and explain things for me. She even helped me with non PartyPro stuff!! She gave us advice and really mentored us. As far as the actual wedding day, everything went amazing! Music was great, and just what I wanted. I wanted to walk down the isle to an instrumental version of “here comes the sun”, and she sent me a version she got just for me! It was so perfect and really made it what it was! Our DJs were so cool and so easy to work with. They really helped us get everything done and were so cool and calm. Everyone danced ALL NIGHT LONG!!!!! I give them the credit because they were soooo good. Our Photo Booth was also PERFECT! They moved its location to use our venue outdoor setting as a background. It was gorgeous. They really had an eye for what to do! Our memory book with the photo strips was the best part!! So many pages, enough for people to include messages and pics! Best takeaway EVER! My guests were loving it, and all came to me praising both DJs and our Photo Booth operator. I am so happy we went with Party Pros! I have been to weddings with the huge chain DJs and super crazy priced companies, and I must say, Party Pros were 110% better! I feel like I should have paid them more money! Best value here! Photobooth was amazing!! Everyone loved the props! The set-up is an up to date computer technology with an active slide show so guests can see other photos already taken. Chris and I were more than impressed and had a blast! Our personal favorites were the batman, grumpy cat and wasted sign. We were given a book, and a disc with all of the photos on them. Best part was the pictures posted the next few days via Facebook; my family is still having a blast tagging themselves and looking at them. Thanks again! We are also extremely impressed with the up-lighting; it made the room have a more romantic appeal, and the colors matched wonderfully! Your service was wonderful! I had never used a DJ before and was a little questionable about how it would all come together but it was awesome! Our wedding was phenomenal and we have you to thank for a lot of that! DJ Eric was fun, interactive, and played every song that we requested! Allen, our videographer was so kind, and I cannot wait to see all of the moments that he captured. The real star of the show, however, was Gary, our photographer. Gary arrived plenty early to get a feel for the area and get all of his equipment set up. He put the boutonnieres on all of the men in our bridal party because they were having a hard time getting them to stay, he calmed me down several times while I was getting ready before the ceremony, he explained to Brad and I how we should cut our cake (something we had no idea how to do), and most importantly, we NEVER saw him with his camera down! Working with Gary was a fantastic experience, especially considering the issues that we had with our other photographer in the beginning, and I am so thrilled that he was a part of our day!

Your DJ service was fantastic; our DJ hit our playlist to our exact specifications. The dance floor was jamming all night long and the DJ kept the quest engaged just like we had hoped. DJ Will- He was absolutely AMAZING! He touched base with me prior to the wedding to reiterate song choices and was very personable throughout the wedding. I would definitely recommend our DJ and have plans to contact Michigan DJ Services for my sister’s wedding next October! Booking & Planning- Booking & Planning through Michigan DJ Service was easy and stress free!!!!!!! Samantha was available to answer my calls or emails at any time throughout the day and actually seemed grateful for the questions! Photography- Our photographer, Khaaliq was great and contacted us prior to the wedding. He was very friendly. Photo Booth- Chris was great! All in all, I was very impressed!!
You guys were awesome!!! I got ahold of someone every time I sent an email. You were more than helpful throughout the planning process we had your DJ, officiant. And videography service. They were all amazing. We had a lot of compliments about the music during dinner saying it wasn’t so loud that you couldn’t talk but it was loud enough you had a relaxing dinner. We had a great time and we will send a picture when we get one back from our photographers. Thank you again so much you made our day amazing and we will be throwing your name out there when ever someone is looking for what you offer.
